The girls are frustrated with a dad who works at home, despite repeated explanations of what it might be like to have a 9 to 5 dad. Plus, they get a lot more time with their dad reading to them, going on trips with them, and so forth than they give credit for. But I think it's hard for them to see him working and be put off when they want to be with him. So here's a little bit of frustration from Celeste:
Dada in Croatia
In Croatia Dada olmost olnly looks at his copnuter. Boring. Well ilyst I have Mama. As I told you Dada is boring. And his conputer gets on my nrves.
Anyone want to write and tell her how boring it is to have a dad that's never home?

Hey Celeste! A couple of things to think about:
- Looking at the computer lets us communicate with each other while you're far away, so looking at the computer can't be all bad! :-)
- The fact that your Dada is clever with his computer is the reason you're in Croatia, so it must be good for something.
- You get to go on trips with your whole family! When I was your age my father couldn't usually go on trips with us, even in vacation time, because he was stuck at work.
But I wish I were there to read to (or with) you when your parents were busy...!

Auntie Natasha
Hi you guys.
I've been meaning to track you down or at least send Rabbit an e-mail to find out how you are doing. Just today, I was doing field work at Wilder Ranch and Ano Nuevo so of course thought especially much of you. Good old Google lead me more or less right to you. Sounds as though Ru&C are enjoying themselves tolerably, how about H&Ra? Is there an adults' blog?
The boys are getting into bed at the moment so I will have to wait to show them all the posts - they'll enjoying seeing the photos, as did I.
Love,
Peter
